Marge is a font with charcter. The typeface was done during an intensive one-week type design workshop in Trenta, Slovenia. This was organized by tipoRenesansa. Check out the typefaces of the other participants in 2011 here and in 2011 here.
Marge is edgy and highly legible even at very small sizes. It is conceived for texts. Comfortable to read even on lower-quality paper, Marge is an excellent type for newspapers, letters, and stamps. It is inspired by the characteristic breaks of calligraphic strokes and the stability of slab-serif typefaces. Marge features subtle details, breaks, and curves, which also make it suitable for striking headlines.
Like the charachter of Marge Simpson, this typeface has a rough “voice” and an unmistakable “haircut.”
